Security of individuals – is system of measures, executed according to single plan and under single leadership, aimed at protecting individuals from unlawful actions against at them, members of their families or their property.

Providing security of private persons and safety of cargo is executed by making security zones around subject or object. Offender (criminal) approaching subject (object) is faced by arranged belts of security.
Methodology of security is in putting protected subject (object) in a protective “box”, which, in turn, is placed into another, etc. until desired level of security is reached.

At the same time, it mainly refers to the objects of protection, and dealing with the subject, it should be taken into account that he or she has individual character traits, features of behavior, habits, inclinations, contacts with the environment, particulars of business operation, etc.

Therefore, the main precondition for successful completion of providing safety of protected person by security staff is ability to ensure subject safety without causing disturbance and staying in kind of “shade”

Protection of physical persons is carried out:
- at the workplace;
- in office buildings;
- in places of residence;
- on movement routes;
- in places of leisure and vacation;
- in places of temporary residence, etc.

Protection of the subjects (objects) includes:
- complex of intelligence, counterintelligence activities;
- complex of security (protective) measures;
- complex of technical and engineering activities.

Peculiarity of task to ensure safety requires organizing units’ activities according to military model with an accurate and unquestionable fulfillment of orders and instructions by officers. In security business there can’t be “loners”. Sense of solidarity, trust, and confidence in each other should unify the team.
Vigilance, professional outlook and ability to keep the situation under control are an important factor to deter an attack.
